Job description:

  • To provide underwriting assistance to the Advisers. The position will focus on personal and commercial lines business.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with clients.
  • General administration.
  • Preparing quotations for new and existing clients.
  • Issuing new policies, and processing endorsements.
  • Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Handle claims – register, collate documentation and follow up.
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with insurers.
  • Reporting on case and workflow progress.
  • Understanding policy wording and various products.
  • Obtaining updated client contact and static details and recording this on CRM.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Degree/NQF5 in Short Term Insurance
  • Regulatory examination 1 (Representatives) RE5 will be advantageous
  • Proficient on both spoken and written English, and at least one other of the official South African languages
  • A minimum of 1 – 2 years working experience within the Insurance industry
