Intake Controller (Western Cape – Paarl) needed at Tiger Brands

The Job at a glance:

• You are responsible for the control of all incoming raw materials needed for the production of the finished goods. You supply Quality with Samples to ensure adherence to standards and continuous improvement  

What you will do:

• Management of the Raw Material & Packaging in the Stores
• Co-ordinate with Quality Assurance & Production of Received Raw Material status 
• Allocate Appropriate Storage Conditions (Ambient; Cold, Frozen, Humidity, Light)
• Contribute to Supplier management & Performance initiatives 
• Receiving  of all Production related Raw Materials & Packaging
• Sampling of Goods Received 
• Ensure quality of incoming materials received as per Certificate of Analysis by Supplier conforms with vs Raw Materials Specifications through physical inspection  where appropriate, all non conformance to be escalated to M&T Analyst for validation and inform Supply Planner
• Store all items into designated stores, warehouses in a secure manner                         
• Ensure accurate Raw Material stock control and Raw Material stock rotation                                                         
• Maintain accurate records of transactions as per the SOP          
• Liaise with Supply Planner regarding deliveries 
• Ensure GMP of working area is maintained (Receiving & Storage)
• Grade all fresh Raw Materials as per agreed Quality Standards
• Ensure environmental control of Raw Materials stores e.g. regular pest control audits 
• Drive continuous improvement programs in area
• Ensuring that FIFO/FEFO is adhered to
• Ensuring housekeeping is maintained
• Ensure accurate recording of the information at the Weighbridge
• Managing the issuing and returning of materials to production

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualification in natural science/engineering
• TQM /WCM/Lean
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a quality and manufacturing
