Intermediate Java Engineer | Remote needed at Salt South Africa

What You’ll Do:

• Develop high-quality, efficient, and reliable Java code using J2EE, Spring, CAMEL, and more
• Design and maintain SQL databases (MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres)
• Deploy, install, and configure software releases
• Use Git for version control and collaborate with the development team
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications

• Conduct and document integration testing using Postman and other tools
• Work with Docker & Kubernetes for containerized deployments
• Utilize Linux & Bash scripting for system management

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of development experience
• Strong Java skills with J2EE, Spring, and RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ
• SQL expertise and understanding of database management
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and web technologies
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle business-critical projects
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
