Qualification Requirements    

• Grade 12
• Studying towards a National Diploma: Food Technology final year
• Tertiary institution logbook stipulating the relevant exposure and experience needed

Experience Requirements    

• Basic understanding of laboratory practices
• Laboratory safety & handling of chemicals
• Good understanding of OHS
• Proactive communication skills
• Strong numerical ability
• Strong teamwork ability
• Understanding housekeeping and ensuring proactive implementation thereof
• Taking accountability for tasks
• Learning aptitude

Key Outputs    

• Prepare chemicals for analysis
• Testing of product samples
• Reporting of all results timeously
• General housekeeping and participating in all lab processes and activities
• Equipment calibration and verification
• Shift hygiene, plant inspection and housekeeping
• Reporting of operational non- conformities
• Equipment verification
• Product sample collection and submission to the lab
• Weight verification
• Shift start up and end of shift QC consolidation.
• Product and packing QC verification batch codes, labelling, etc
