Position Overview

• We are seeking a senior Quality Assurance and Business Optimisation Specialist to join our engineering consulting company in Johannesburg. This role sits within the Technology and Operations Department, reporting to the Chief Technology & Information Officer.

Primary Responsibilities

Quality Management Systems

• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of new Integrated Management System (IMS) and Quality Management System (QMS)
• Spearhead ISO recertification programs (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 19650)
• Develop and maintain company policies, procedures, and standards
• Manage enterprise risk assessment and stakeholder reporting

Information and Data Management

• Oversee company information assets, including SharePoint and intranet platforms
• Ensure regulatory compliance in data management
• Drive optimisation of information flow and business tools

Audit and Compliance

• Develop and execute internal audit calendar
• Analyze assessment reports and implement corrective measures
• Prepare organization for external IMS, QMS, and ISO audits
• Enhance overall regulatory maturity

Business Process Optimization

• Design and map efficient business processes incorporating people, process, and technology
• Develop automated workflows based on organisational structure
• Collaborate with management across all levels to ensure business alignment

• Experience in engineering consultancy sector
• Understanding of engineering business processes and systems

Qualifications

• Business Management degree/diploma
• ISO auditor/practitioner certifications
• Quality management and business process optimisation certifications
• 10 years+ experience, preferably with strong (5 years+) experience in engineering consulting
