Internal Sales Clerk needed at Afrimat

Minimum Qualification / Experience:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in aggregates/ready-mix concrete industry
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must meet the medical requirements in accordance with the Mine and Safety Act and company standards
• Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

• Prepare quotations & pricing for projects and tenders
• Manage order placements and schedule deliveries
• Liaise with Sales Representatives and/or Area Manager regarding bookings, prices & schedules
• Ensure optimum truck delivery scheduling
• Verify and confirm delivery addresses in advance based on ordered quantities and product
• Ensure product quality and integrity throughout the delivery cycle
• Liaise with responsible personnel at each delivery point
• Assist senior staff with reasonable delegated tasks
• Apply knowledge of the construction materials industry
• Demonstrate an understanding of technical, selling processes and industrial market dynamics
• Display strong communication, people and negotiating skills
• Remain confident and professional in all engagements
• Plan, organise, motivate and manage deliveries on customer sites, co-ordinate needs
• and capacities within the sales order frame
• Participate in both the Ready-mix and Aggregates divisions of the business
