Journalist – Gqeberha needed at Media24 Ltd

Job Description

• You have a tertiary qualification in journalism or relevant programme.
• You love stories and storytelling no matter what format and platform.
• You can write on any topic, especially community issues.
• You are based in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).
• You have a valid Code 08 driver’s license

Some skills we need:

• Excellent storytelling skills both in words and in video format.
• The ability to work fast and cope under pressure.
• The ability to find a fresh angle on a story.
• Excellent general knowledge.
• Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Snapchat.
• The ability to work in a team and take direction from an editor.
• Drive and energy
• Willingness to work after normal office hours on occasion

What you’ll be doing:

• Reporting for all EP Media Publications, with a specific focus on PE Express and UD Express
• Producing stories for print editions as well as social media.
• Updating EP Media social media and online platforms
• Assisting the online and print team with uploading content when required.
