Junior Banking Processor

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Junior Banking Processor. The primary responsibility of this role will be to accurately process banking transactions and reconciliations in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent data entry skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members.

Key Responsibilities as a Junior Banking Processor:

• Reconciling banking transactions in Xero;
• Preparation of bank reconciliations in excel;
• Collaborating with team members to improve banking processes;
• Upload bank imports for approvals;
• Petty cash journal preparations;
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Matric certificate, and/or Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
• Previous experience in banking processing preferred, however training will be provided.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.  
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software, i.e. Xero.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.

Working Conditions:

• This position may require sitting for extended periods of time and performing repetitive tasks
• Occasional overtime may be necessary during peak periods
• Some tasks may require handling confidential financial information
