Job Description

  • As a Junior DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a vital role in the integration of security practices into our DevOps processes. This position is ideal for a passionate individual with a strong interest in cybersecurity and automation.
  • You will work closely with the DevOps and security teams to implement secure development practices, automate security processes, and contribute to the overall security posture of our organization.

Area: Retail Platform Proposition (RPP).

  • Security Automation: Assist in the development and maintenance of security automation scripts and tools. Contribute to the integration of security practices into CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Vulnerability Management: Participate in vulnerability scanning and assessment processes. 
  • Work with senior DevSecOps engineers to remediate and mitigate identified vulnerabilities. 
  • Security Monitoring: Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of security monitoring solutions. Assist in the analysis of security events and contribute to incident response activities. 
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Learn and contribute to the implementation of security best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts. Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure security is considered throughout the infrastructure lifecycle. 
  • Secure Configuration Management: Assist in the development and enforcement of secure configuration management practices. Work with the team to maintain and monitor secure configuration baselines. 
  • Security Awareness: Participate in security awareness programs and training initiatives. 
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in DevSecOps. 
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with DevOps engineers, developers, and security professionals to align security practices with DevOps processes. 
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to address security concerns in project delivery. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. 
  • Basic understanding of DevOps principles and practices. 
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus. 
  • Strong interest in cybersecurity and a desire to learn and grow in the field. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and technologies (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker). 
  • Basic understanding of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). 
  • Awareness of common cybersecurity concepts and practices.
