Junior Financial Analyst needed at Pepkor Lifestyle

Job Description

• Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Analyst to join our team in Sandton. The successful candidate will support financial analysis, reporting, and accounting-related activities, contributing to informed decision-making and strong financial controls within the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Support the preparation of management reports
• Capture, maintain, and reconcile financial data and accounting records
• Analyze financial trends and performance to identify risks and improvement opportunities
• Assist in the development of financial models and projections
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial and accounting support
• Assist with ad hoc finance and accounting projects as required

Qualifications & Requirements

• BCom Accounting degree (essential)
• Strong accounting background with sound basic accounting knowledge
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
• Good understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Prior internship or finance/accounting work experience will be advantageous
