Junior Food Safety Officer – Gauteng Region needed at Boxer Superstores

Minimum Requirements:

• National Diploma or 3-Year Degree in Food Science/Food Safety
• Minimum 2 years’ food safety experience
• Proficient in Excel and computer literate
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
• Strong knowledge of food safety legislation (FDCA, HACCP, PAS96, PRP)
• Familiarity with hygiene practices, procedures, and relevant systems
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and conceptual thinking ability
• Professional presentation and deadline-driven mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of food safety policies
• Help manage corrective actions and compliance from inspections
• Support new store rollouts and retraining initiatives
• Aid in evaluating risks from internal audits and peer reviews
• Administer and update food safety documentation and systems (TRAC, BeSafe)
• Conduct inspections and support third-party audits
• Assist in food safety incident investigations and customer complaint resolution
• Ensure training and corrective actions are followed through at store/DC level
