About Job Role

• We are looking for an organised and proactive Junior Operations Controller to coordinate daily transport operations, manage driver schedules, monitor vehicle movements and ensure timely deliveries and collections. The successful candidate will assist with fleet coordination, transport documentation, port and depot bookings, client communication and compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Logistics & Scheduling: Plan, schedule, and monitor daily transport routes, ensuring timely delivery and upliftment from ports/depots. Port & depot bookings
• Driver Management: Dispatch, debrief, and communicate with drivers regarding schedules, delays, and changes.
• Fleet & Vehicle Management: Oversee vehicle maintenance, ensure roadworthiness, and manage breakdowns.
• Documentation & Administration: Process purchase orders, manage Proof of Deliveries (PODs) and other documents. Toll & Diesel reconciliation.
• Client & Stakeholder Communication: Provide ETAs, update on delays, communicate breakdown info, and resolve delivery queries.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to safety policies, company procedures, and manage incident reports. 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications | Years of Experience

• Experience in logistics, transport or a similar operational role.
• Understanding of transport documentation, including Proof of Deliveries (PODs) and manifests.
• Understanding of port and depot procedures.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant transport management software, such as Bidtrack, QuickBooks or Digit FMS.
• Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Age: 30 years and above.
• Professional presentation: Must maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance suitable for interacting with clients, drivers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Professional conduct: Good interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to represent the company professionally.
