Job Summary 

Retail Team Management

  • Works closely with the Merchandise & Planning Manager (dotted line) and Retail Ops Manager
  • Reviews sales data from previous cycles in order to make recommendations to retail stores at the time of sample viewing and forecasting with Merchandise and Planning Manager
  • Retail inventory management of OWN STORES on a daily basis in order to review:
  • Monitor sell-through by store and webstore
  • Stock level management as per capacity – Re-allocates stock through inter-branch transfers to ensure the right stock is in the right store (stores never over or under stocked)
  • Rotating inventory as per the seasonal plan set out by the Retail Planner. Supply stores with a detailed sku list of stock to be returned/rotated during season
  • Inventory control of stock transfers between DSV and Stores and highlight any discrepancies to Area Manager
  • Track stock in transit to ensure delivery to stores take place on time.
  • Own and manage store planograms implemented by Visual Merchandiser
  • Manage and implement quarterly and annual PI & Cycle count process per retail location
  • Manage virtual locations to ensure after each stock movement stock is cleared from the variance location
  • Retail team management on store level to ensure inventory plan is executed as per the seasonal plan from Retail Planner. Any issues to be reported daily to the AM and Retail Manager
  • Work closely with Wholesale Planner to ensure Partner Store inventory rotation aligns with seasonal plan and to Concept Stores
  • Accountable to have the right stock at the right time and the right store

Manage and maintain daily store operations by:

  • Supporting stores and finance to ensure cash up’s balance.  Report issues to Area Manager
  • Lead all investigations no matter how small in a timely manner.
  • Maintain retail manual and group information’s
  • System Champion
  • Assist all retail stores and HQ retail staff with system related processes & the implementation thereof.
  • Assisting with problem / error solving & facilitate communication of customizations with CSA, DSV (through the IT Support HEAD)
  • Assess training needs and inform HR to implement

Marketing

  • Align with marketing to ensure styles are in store at the right time to support windows

Set up and implement new retail store

  • Handle new store openings as per the project management timeline

Reports

  • Weekly retail reports (per store & consolidated): Top 10 models, bottom 10 models, percentage contribution to total units, NPI % contribution, weekly revenue per store vs. same week period of previous year vs. target, ASP’s, etc.Report to Ops Managers, Head Office and Agents.
  • Retail Return Report (DSV vs SAP)
  • Unexported Items

General

  • Be dedicated to meet all targets and deadlines
  • Stand in for managers on leave
  • Report and solve all system related issues including phones, credit cards, operating system, cctv and alarm
  • Stand-in for management team during leave at store level

Cistech Point of Sale Champion

  • Familiarise and understand the operating system to assist all retail stores and HQ retail staff with system related processes and the implementation thereof –
  • Assisting with problem/error solving and facilitate communication of customisations with CSA (Crocs South Africa)

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Degree in Retail, Business or any other related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in merchandise planning in a retail environment
  • Strategic agility and able to articulate a vision and purpose.
  • Advanced Excel skills
