What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

  • As a Junior Project Manager, you’ll support the project management team through all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • From helping with planning and site setup to monitoring construction progress, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the project is executed according to plan.
  • You’ll assist in stakeholder coordination, track site activities, and ensure contractors adhere to safety and technical standards.
  • Additionally, you’ll prepare reports, track milestones, and help with handovers to the operations team. This hands-on experience in project management will allow you to sharpen your skills while contributing to critical renewable energy projects in South Africa.

What you’ll need

  • To succeed in this role, you’ll need a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical-related field and a tertiary qualification in project management. A SACPCMP certification is highly desirable.
  • You should have experience with project construction management, be well-versed in MS Project, and have a good understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience in contract management and dealing with technical design and operations within energy projects will be key.
  • A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel to construction sites are essential.
