Junior Systems Administrator (Fourways) needed at Leroy Merlin

Description

• We seek a Junior Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team to support our company’s IT infrastructure and Customer Journey. As a Junior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and administration of our systems, as well as support and ensure smooth operation and availability.

Responsibilities:

• Installing and configuring hardware and software systems, including servers, operating systems, applications, and other equipment 
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
• Providing technical support to end-users and resolving hardware and software issues
• Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of security measures to protect computer systems and networks
• Managing Gsuite range of products
• Participating in system upgrades, installations, and migrations. 
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and procedures.
• Collaborating with other members of the IT team to identify and resolve technical issues and implement system improvements
• Managing user accounts and access control systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and/or Linux server administration
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and related protocols
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices
• Certifications in relevant areas, such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or CompTIA A+ is mandatory
