About the role

  • Reckitt is driving aggressive growth in eCommerce channels across all markets. This role is responsible to drive Reckitt Digital Sales and eCommerce strategy for South Africa across ALL channels.
  • The designated person will be responsible to manage evolution of digital shopper marketing plans  setting & executing Joint Business Plans with etailers, managing standalone projects to alwayson campaigns and keeping wider Brand & Trade Marketing teams aligned with online initiatives.
  • Along with demand generation activities, the role will also need to understand and chalk out best fulfilment model (direct vs. indirect) and work with Supply Services team to minimize lost sales due to any inefficiencies in the fulfilment model. The individual must be able to forecast volumes with a reasonable degree of accuracy.
  • Lastly – as eCommerce evolves, there could be varying degree of sales reporting capabilities within Reckitt & etailers. The incumbent will need to work with relevant stakeholders to drive improved reporting, covering growth KPIs (value, volume) and stickiness KPIs (unique shoppers, repeat ratio, size of basket etc.)

Your responsibilities
Sales

  • Forecasting and planning aligned to brand and customer strategies
  • Deliver online sales targets while operating within approved trade marketing/trade spend parameters
  • Consolidate and review monthly sales results and initiate appropriate action steps to deliver targets
  • JBP’s and roadmap to deliver brand, category and customer objectives

Customer Relationship

  • Build RB business with key etailers and manage customer strategy
  • Lead development of annual Joint Business Plans maintaining excellence that matches RB standards
  • Work with stakeholders to chalk out eCommerce strategy that drives maximum volume, profit, customer satisfaction and product availability at appropriate cost
  • Ensuring 5P execution in those customers
  • Drive focus on RoI analysis and optimization with particular focus on strategic & tactical plans to expand online penetration and channel development

Online 4P execution

  • Work with stakeholders to maintain digital product catalogue to have right product information & images across all etailers
  • Build 5P tracking capabilities in the online world with regular store checks
  • Internal engagement & coordination
  • Be present at digital sales agenda on internal cross functional forums
  • Partner with marketing organisation to develop and execute online brand plans covering accountlevel promotional plans
  • Drive better visibility on etailer portals such as banners, search result optimization etc. and secure funding from brand teams
  • Coordinate and liaison with customer for shopper insights and market research

The experience we’re looking for

  • Bachelors degree level in business management/Sales/Marketing related subjects from a recognised university.
  • Minimum 3 years FMCG expirience in Sales/Marketing and Key account management
  • History of identifying incremental revenue stream opportunities
  • Proven track record of budget delivery and growth momentum
  • Demonstrate financial and commercial acumen with strategic thinking
  • Sound qualifications in a business or related discipline
  • Definite preference for experience of working on a retailer affiliate programs and managing integration, tracking and optimization across all media and marketing activities 
  • Strong commercial insight, and astute P and L management with the capability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Known for your strategic insight and a practical approach to problemsolving, you’re ready to turn challenges into opportunities.
  • Genuine passion for customer service, with the ability to build trusting, collaborative, and mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a consultative approach to influencing others using compelling facts and data.
  •  A diverse range of influencing styles and techniques at your disposal, with evidence of their effective application in past roles.
