Lead Lecture Venue AV Technician – Makhanda needed at Rhodes University

Main Objectives

• To lead the lecture venue AV refurbishments and day to day operations.
• This requires an above average knowledge of AV and its use within a teaching and learning environment as well as technical aspects of a network of the same size and complexity as the Rhodes network.
• To change strategy, communicate strategy and manage the roll out of the strategy and refurbishments in central lecture venues, as well as participate proactively in discussions with Teaching & Learning, Lecture Venue Committee and Facilities Division. 

The Requirements

A relevant NQF level 6 plus approximately 6 years relevant experience where such experience includes: –

• At least three years in an IT or AV environment in a teaching and learning environment of similar complexity/scale to Rhodes
• At least two years supervising staff
• At least two years project management experience
• At least one year experience specifically in AV
