Purpose of Position:

• To clean and maintain the laboratory and assist with receiving and preparation of specimens in the laboratory

Requirements:

• Grade 12, HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field, Secretarial certificate or diploma

Required Experience:

• Experience within a pathology environment, Knowledge: Meditech system

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain laboratory in order to ensure a clean and safe work environment,
• Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath,
• Perform administration tasks in order to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory,
• Perform general laboratory tasks in order to ensure the effective functioning of the laboratory,
• Prepare Cytology specimen in order to ensure efficient processing of specimens in the laboratory,
• Receive specimens in order to ensure effective and efficient specimen flow in the laboratory
