Critical Performance Areas 

• Presenting and conducting lectures at undergraduate and postgraduate levels 
• Assessing students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; 
• Setting and marking of all assessments. 
• Teaching and learning with Technology, including administration of study materials and assessment processes 
• Be responsible for administrative tasks related to teaching and learning in the Department of People Management and Development. 
• Organise Conferences, Seminars, Symposiums; 
• Day-to-day management of teaching programmes, 
• Involvement in any teaching and learning activity as may be reasonably assigned to him /her by the Head of Department. 
• Participate in the development of study guides and new curricula in line with HEQF structures. 
• Involvement in departmental or individual community projects. 
• Present evening / Saturday classes as required and as part of the normal workload. 
• Participating in departmental, subject, and industry liaison meetings. 
• Participating in other university committees as may be assigned to him/her by the Department 
• General administration such as capturing test and assignment marks, and uploading documents on myTUTor. 
• Student consultation. 

Minimum Requirements: Lecturer 

• A relevant Master’s Degree (NQF level 9) in Office Management & Technology or Administrative Information Management. 
• 3 years relevant teaching experience and /or 3 years experience in industry. 
• 3 years of relevant lecturing/research experience in the fields of Office Management & Technology and Information Management 
• Proficiency in MS Office and other computer programs. 
• Full proficiency in English is a prerequisite. 
• Completion of a TUT License to Teach programme will be compulsory. 
• Registration with a relevant professional body is recommended, if not registered with a professional body, you will be required to register within 6 months of accepting the offer
