Key Performance Areas:

  • Prepare for lectures based on provided content. Supplement content with own expertise. Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours. Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed.  Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.

Job Purpose:

  • Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Ideal: 

  • 3 year Diploma /BA degree (NQF 7) in: Graphic Design/Visual Communication Design/Information Design* Interior Design or Fashion Design

Alternatively: 

  • A suitable BA Degree with Design or Art as core module up to NQF 7. 

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

  • ​Minimum 3 years’ experience in a creative field is required, with a portfolio illustrating the candidate’s critical and creative ideas as well as strong crafting skills (in their discipline).
  • The module supports the students in preparing for a creative industry; ideation (conceptual, critical and creative thinking), crafting and guiding students in their creative process is thus essential.
