Legal Advisor needed at Community Schemes Ombud Service

Description

• Develop policies and processes to support CSOS reporting through effective documentation and data management.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legally sound contracts to ensure optimal value from CSOS procurements and expenditures.
• Provide legal advice and support to business units on contract management, ensuring compliance with legal and policy requirements.
• Conduct legal research and provide opinions on relevant legislation, including case law analysis.
• Implement best practices for legal operations, ensuring continuous performance improvement and professional development within the section.

Requirements

• LLB degree or an equivalent legal qualification.
• Admission as an Attorney or Advocate.
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in a legal environment.
• Extensive knowledge of labour law, company law, and good governance principles.
• Awareness of broader political, economic, and social environments affecting legal practice.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong policy development skills.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, honesty, and integrity.
