Logistics Co-Ordinator – Modderfontein needed at AECI Limited

Job Description    

• Communicate regularly with Key Account Sales Representatives and Customer Experience teams, and respond to customer delivery queries received via mail, providing updates on delivery schedules, addressing any potential issues, and proactively highlighting any risks
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor the transportation and delivery of products to key accounts.
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with customer requirements
• Collaborate with logistics partners to optimise delivery routes and schedules
• Gather information from the SOPS meetings to identify potential risks, communicate these to the sales team, actively track product availability for items flagged as at risk due to shortages, and manage on-site stock and stock allocations
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure accurate and timely picking, packing, and shipping of orders
• Send weekly reports on delivery status and provide updates on potential risks for the upcoming week
• Escalate any risks to management and prepare non-conformance reports when issues arise to ensure continuous improvement
• Complete weekly futile trip reports detailing the request date, delivery date, and reason for the futile trip, and share it with management
• Conduct root cause analysis for any logistics issues and implement corrective actions
• Update Smartsheets (online tool) with delivery information to keep the Customer Experience team informed.
• Collaborate with the Customer Experience team to ensure Proof of Delivery (POD) documents are collected by month-end for prompt billing and month-end closure

Qualifications & Experience    

• Matric/Grade 12
• Higher Certificate/Diploma in Logistics/Related Fields
• Must have a minimum of 2 years in Chemical Industry Operations
• Proficiency in Excel/Word/PowerPoint
