Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• To assist the Logistics Superintendent in all related logistical and sales admin functions

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

• Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
• Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status

CUSTOMERS

• Ensure customer satisfaction

BUSINESS PROCESSES

Raw Materials

• Schedule raw materials deliveries in line with plant requirements
• Compile and place orders and track raw materials receipts against orders
• Approve and verify raw material receipts, stock changes and test weights
• Approve and verify raw material dispatches
• Action discrepancies on MES, investigate and communicate all deviations
• Verify SAP/MES systems
• Reconcile receipts between transporters and suppliers and communicate to Finance department
• Maintain Raw Material Systems data integrity
• Administrative functions

Supplies

• Maintain stationary and office supply stock levels
• Maintain refreshment stock levels

Reports

• Conduct the BCS/BI administration
• Compile the Departmental Newsletter
• Compile general reports

Requirements
Minimum qualifications:

• N3 for internal candidates / N6 for external candidates
• 3 years’ relevant experience
