Summary:

FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Induction of new employees
- Ensure Induction is completed within 2 weeks of starting date of officers/ Camera Room Staff and LPO Officers
- Orientation of new staff
- Staff development and succession
- % Achievements for against training and development plans
- Succession plan in place for individual departments
- Development plans in place for all individuals
- %Staff completed mandating CBT’s
- %Staff completed functional CBT’s
- Effective communication skills
- Treat colleagues with respect
- Communicate areas of concern immediately
- Ensure follow-up action is taken with required feedback
- People Management
- Induction of new employees:
- Ensure Induction is completed within stipulated time frame
- Ensure that all new staff undergo orientation
- Employment equity targets:
- Ensure achievement of initiatives in support of store equity plan when recruiting for the department
- Performance Management:
- Signed role clarity in place for all employees
- Performance contract in place for all
- Complete regular performance evaluations
- Signed PDD’s in place for all employees
- Maintain appropriate level of discipline
- Take appropriate disciplinary action
- Conduct monthly score card and one on one discussions with all staff
- Manage staff adherence to working schedule
- Complete regular PDR’s to improve staff morale
- Ensure staff is cross –skilled to ensure continuity of all functions
- Energy level improvement
- Manage time keeping and working hours
- Effective planning for weekends and festive season trading
- Manage Team Delivery based on performance plans
- Staff development and succession:
- Ensure that the % is achieved for training and development plans
- Ensure that a succession plan is in place for individual departments
- Ensure Development plan is in place for all individuals
- Ensure % staff that have completed mandatory CBTs are recorded
- Ensure % staff that have completed functional CBTs are recorded
- Ensure Signed Role Clarity document is in place for each staff member
- Ensure that there is a Performance Contract for all levelled managers
Requirements:
Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience required for this position
- PSIRA Grade B, Experience in wholesale and retail environment (security experience)
- 2-3 years’ experience in Security and Loss Prevention
- Driver’s license a must
- Previous management experience of managing a team
- Supervisor experience
- Previous SAPS services will be considered
- Investigation experience
- Psira registered will be advantages
- If internal have completed the RMP or have a degree in related field
