We are a Mining Capital Equipment Supplier that requires a Machine Electrical Systems Designer to develop and design specific electrical systems, with an aspiration of growing within the organization – An innovative, lateral thinker that can get the job done!

Qualification:
B-Tech degree in Electrical – Electronic Engineering or Similar recognized by ECSA

Requirements:

• Experience in electrical system design
• Understanding of electrical system design and development
• Understanding of hydraulic control circuits
• Understanding of auto electric control circuits
• Understanding of digital control systems
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Ability to give daily project feedback to relevant person/s
• Good communication skills
• Good team working skills
• Good understanding of MS Office products
• Own transport

Beneficial experience:

• Experience in mobile software development
• Experience in E Plan
• Understanding of trackless drivetrains.
• Experience within a trackless mining environment
• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• Project management capabilities
• Understanding of CAN bus systems

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Develop new electrical systems for machines
• Updating and improvement of current electrical systems
• Development of machine specific diagnostic interface programs for field service technicians
• Commissioning and fault finding on new machines
