REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Matric, Bachelor’s Degree/BTech Degree (NQF level 7)
  • Honours’ Degree (NQF Level 8) in the relevant field as an added advantage
  • Minimum 9 years in the Energy Sector of which 3 -5 years must be at Managerial experience
  • Experience working in a state-owned environment
  • Experience working with high-level government relations
  • Experience with strategic program management
  • Experiencing in managing complex investment within the energy sector

  • Knowledge of Energy Sector
  • Knowledge of investments in energy sector

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

 Strategic Support to Chairperson

  • Act as a principal advisor to the Chairperson on governance, strategic, and operational matters.
  • Support the Chairperson in overseeing the execution of board directives and resolutions.
  • Conduct research and provide insights on industry trends, energy policy developments, and governance best practices

 Governance and Board Liaison

  • Coordinate and prepare agendas, board packs, and reports for the Chairperson’s review.
  • Monitor and track the implementation of board decisions and action items.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Chairperson, the board, and the executive management team.

Stakeholder management

  • Manage communication with key stakeholders, including government departments, regulators, industry bodies, and community representatives.
  • Represent the Chairperson’s office in meetings and events when required.
  • Draft and review correspondence, speeches, and public statements for the Chairperson.

Operational Oversight

  • Ensure the smooth functioning of the Chairperson’s office by managing workflows, priorities, and schedules.
  • Oversee the coordination of events, meetings, and travel arrangements for the Chairperson.
  • Act as a point of escalation for issues requiring the Chairperson’s attention
