Minimum Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of accounting for both listed and unlisted investment portfolios across various asset types
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax legislation, and other relevant acts and standards
- Experience managing independent review (ISRE 2400) and compilation (ISRS 4410) engagements
- Strong knowledge of IFRS for SME’s and drafting of annual financial statements in accordance with this accounting framework
- Good understanding of the taxation of trusts
- Strong client relationship skills
- Good problem-solving and strategic thinking skills

Minimum level of Education/Qualifications and experience required
- B.Com / Honours (Accounting / Financial Accounting)
- PA(SA) / AGA(SA)
- 3 – 5 Years post articles experience
- Experience managing a team

Duties and Responsibilities
Position overview
- Managing a portfolio of clients encompassing the following responsibilites:
- Main point of contact for your clients
- Planning client engagements in accordance with tax and related deadlines
- Managing a team performing the engagements
- Review of engagements performed by the team
- Communicating and presenting financial statements to clients
- Manage tax compliance status of the client portfolio (including Individuals, Companies, Close Corporations and Trusts) in conjunction with a dedicated Tax Compliance Officer
- Liaising with various departments within the company providing a range of services to the client portfolio
- Dealing with queries from SARS and clients
- Liaising with the tax advisory division regarding the implementation of tax structures and ensuring related compliance from an accounting and tax perspective
- Onboarding new clients
