- The Marketing Analyst will play a pivotal role in shaping pricing strategies, analyzing marketing and sales performance against promotions and marketing activities, and lead as the interface between Marketing and IT. This role bridges marketing analytics, commercial strategy, and data management to drive sales and improve marketing ROI.
- The role will work on developing and optimizing pricing decisions through various pricing aids, create insightful dashboards, manage marketing and sales data systems, and collaborate across teams to ensure data accuracy and actionable insights.
Minimum
- Bcom Honours in Marketing, Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related field.
- Analytical mindset with a strong commercial focus aimed at making actionable recommendations
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Effective communicator with a good ability to write reports and prepare presentations
- Strong Interpersonal skills with a keen focus on working cross functionally (IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing)
- Advanced MS (Excel)s)m Intermediate (Word and Powerpoint) skills
- Advanced SQL skills
- Advanced Power BI skills
- Intermediate Python or R programming skills
Special Requirements
- Pricing Analytics Develop, implement, and maintain pricing models and strategies aligned with business goals.
- Analyze price elasticity, competitive pricing, and market trends to recommend optimal price points.
- Provide recommendations on optimal price discounting strategies that have the ability to meet intended objectives
- Conduct scenario modeling and forecasting to assess pricing impacts on sales
- Support new product launches with pricing and positioning recommendations.
- Work with cross functional teams (SC, finance, Ops) to ensure accurate input costs and recipes to deliver accurate GPs to aid menu and pricing decisions
Marketing Analytics Support annual brand planning with data driven actionable insights
- Support the process of developing the Promo meal calendar that is aligned with business strategy, revenue, and ticket growth
- Support NPD process by providing informed view on volume forecasts
- Build and maintain menu mix analysis and report on key insights bi-annually
- Support and guide regional marketing managers with effective promotional strategies (where applicable) in line with business strategy
- Support all Marketing initiatives with measurement (where applicable)and ROI
- Drive a culture of data driven decision making (with the aid of line manager). Guide and support understanding of data with the Marketing team
- Support the integration of various marketing data sets (digital, CRM etc)
- Dashboard and Reporting Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, or similar) in line with business needs (e.g. NPD tracker, menu mix)
- Automate reporting workflows and ensure data is accurate, timely, and actionable
- Train people on the use and capabilities of Power BI and the Power BI dashboards
- Perform the BA role to interface between the IT team and the other departments on data, dashboard and/or other insight requests
- Data Management & IT Collaboration Support the maintenance of the marketing data warehouse, ensuring data integrity, structure, and accessibility.
- Support databases and data systems maintenance
- Oversee integration of CRM, and other initiatives that have a data angle to it from Marketing (e.g. Loyalty)
- Collaborate with IT to ensure Marketing needs are understood and delivered against
