About the Role

The Marketing & Events Coordinator drives brand growth through data-driven campaigns and strategic event management. Utilizing HubSpot for marketing automation and Salesforce for client engagement, the coordinator ensures compliance with brand standards and minimizes operational risk in promotional spend.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ongoing general marketing administration & support:
  • Assist with sourcing various marketing collateral (quotes, samples, etc).
  • Liaising with various service providers and suppliers to develop marketing material.
  • General research for various marketing projects.
  • General support and coordination for various marketing projects.
  • National product promotions:
  • Managing and coordinating the process for national promotions:
  • Communication to stores
  • Internal communication to various departments.
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding marketing material getting to stores.
  • Input on design and artwork direction and angle for promotional material.
  • Resolving issues and handling questions regarding promotions.
  • Work with the visual merchandiser on promotional displays
  • Regional / National events:
  • Manage and coordinate 3 regional fundraising events:
  • Develop the project plan.
  • Obtain all approvals required for the event.
  • Planning process includes contacting suppliers, obtaining competitive quotes, sourcing event items, briefing all parties involved and managing the marketing activities for the event.
  • Liaising with respective animal welfare organisations.
  • Planning and coordinate other medium to large format events (dog walks, charity visits etc)
  • Manage event budgets
  • Store / centre specific promo’s & events:
  • Oversee event calendar across all regions.
  • Ensure event standards are met and maintained.
  • Ensure all marketing activities for events are executed correctly and on time.
  • Manage and coordinate any supporting promotional activity for events.
  • Oversee the maintenance of event branding.
  • Traffic controller for marketing department
  • Coordinate and track all marketing activities that the department is working on, ensuring all actions are on track, problems are addressed and resolved and support provided where necessary
  • Manager to the Junior Marketing Assistant
  • Work closely with the Junior Marketing Assistant who provides support on all administrative marketing activities and smaller projects.

Experience and qualification

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing / business administration or similar
  • Minimum 2 years’ full-time working experience in a similar role
  • Experience with Microsoft office – word, excel, ppt
  • Experience working in a team as opposed to alone
