Material Coordinator needed at Rheinmetall Denel Munition

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: 

• To compile all Bill of material and ensure delivery thereof, oversees store inventory and project equipment and materials.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Managing the Manufacturing supply and delivery of project materials.
• Finalising agreements with suppliers and compiling orders.
• Processing requisitions and ensuring departments receive necessary goods.
• Maintaining positive engagements with vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiating contracts and managing delivery schedules.
• Prioritising cost-efficient goods.
• Overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials.
• Managing inventory and ensuring accurate records.
• Collaborate with different departments to ensure the smooth flow of all materials
• Work together with manufacturing team to plan all deliveries, handle delays and guarantee compliance with all material requests.
• Waste management.
• Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

POST REQUIREMENTS

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Qualified Boilermaker with Trade Certificate.
• At least 3 years’ experience in coordinating material in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in an explosive environment would be advantageous.
• Good communication, planning and organising skills.
• Highly organized, punctual and self-motivated.
• An in-depth understanding and working knowledge of the manufacturing/fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience in planning and implementation of work activities.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with multiple disciplines both internally and externally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
