Mathematics & Biology Teacher needed at Inspired Education

ROLE SUMMARY:

• We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Biology and Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic team at Reddam House Durbanville from January 2026.
• The successful candidate will demonstrate passion and expertise across both subjects, fostering a stimulating classroom environment where students are motivated to achieve academic excellence and personal growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Biology and Mathematics.
• Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and ensure high standards of student conduct and work ethic.
• Evaluate and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and targeted support where necessary.
• Participate in school functions, meetings, and extracurricular activities as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and continually refine teaching strategies.
• Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in initiatives, projects, and professional development.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and respond to queries promptly and professionally.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A University degree in Biology, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Certified Teaching Status and the right to work in South Africa.
• At least three years of secondary teaching experience.
• Experience with the IEB curriculum.
• Proven ability to engage and motivate students across ability levels.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence in using ICT and digital learning tools.
