Mechanical Associate – (ENG-L8.45) needed at Zutari

Role responsibilities

• Sound technical skills, that can effectively communicate and interact with clients.
• Specialised skills in HVAC, wet services and vertical transportation required, with proven track record.
• Be able to lead to a team of digital designers, engineers, technicians and modellers, maintaining a high performance culture;
• Successfully manage client and team’s expectations across various projects to meet budgets, technical quality and timeframes.
• Lead large scale multi-disciplinary projects;
• Exceed team’s budgeted utilisation levels and grow team revenue;
• Ensure deliverables comply with project management governance requirements;
• Understand the VDC environment and successfully direct the design team from project inception through to site hand-over; and
• Challenge the team to remain ahead of the technology curve, regarding technical trends, as well as design execution

Minimum requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the HVAC, and Wet services, within the Built Environment and preferably within a consulting engineering business.
• Experience in driving and supporting business development activities and strategy delivery.
• A proven track-record of leading the delivery of large scale (and complex) national and international projects.
• Previous exposure to datacentre, stadiums, education, healthcare, and other commercial related projects.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, Mechanical, PrEng or similar.
• Strong understanding of local & international codes & standards, including those applicable to South Africa, and Middle East.
• Understanding of Carier HAP/IES with proficiency in Revit and Navisworks
