Description
Duties include, but are not limited to
- Assist Mechanical Fitter with daily plant activities.
- Do standby duties.
- Applies Standard Operating Procedures.
- Demonstrate understanding of how equipment functions.
- Comply with policies by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding maintenance operator duties.
- Maintain required housekeeping standard.
- Report all at risk behaviours and unsafe conditions to the Mechanical Artisan and/or Foreman.
- Carry out inspections.
General
- Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Give input on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Share and implement best practices.
- Adhere to all safety and work standards.
- Adhere to all legal requirements.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements and Experience:
- Grade 12 / N3 with Math and Science.
- Accredited Trade Test certificate in Diesel Mechanic.
- Code 11/14 driver’s license.
- Experience in the plant chemical environment is an advantage.
- Medically fit.
Specific experience required
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
