Description
- To provide technical support to plant production and maintenance operations. Assist with training and high-level fault finding. Perform plant development projects. Drive safety initiatives allocated too.
- Good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles, regulations, processes, systems,procedures and practices.
- Expert knowledge of general maintenance processes and systems.
- Project and contractor management.
- Good understanding of plant processes and procedures.
- Coaching of artisans.
- Auditing as required
- Communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills.
- Trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills. RCA
- Provide Technical Support and guidance to the teams.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work in hot and cold environments, in confined spaces and work at heights.
- Ability to work standby and shift work as and when required
- Expert knowledge of hydraulic system and rotating equipment
- Suitable candidate will be required to perform other duties that are related to the function as prescribed by business requirements
- Drives License
Requirements
- Minimum: N6 National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR equivalent: National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 Years of experience in a steel environment
- Dangerous Goods Certificate
- Computer literate and SAP System(advantageous)
