- An exciting opportunity exists within The DO MORE FOUNDATION (DMF) team for a mid-level Multimedia & Graphic Designer (5-10 years of experience) to join our creative Communications and Marketing Team. The role will report into the Communications and Do More UK Lead and will be based in Durban (Westville).
- The role is central to shaping and maintaining the visual identity of the Foundation across multiple platforms. The designer will work closely with the Communications Lead, Communications Coordinator, and project team leads to bring our campaigns, reports, and digital content to life.
- As the guardian of the DO MORE brand, you will be responsible for ensuring brand consistency across all internal and external communications while contributing to the strategic direction of the Foundation’s communication efforts. You will also capture key moments through photography, create compelling visual narratives, and edit video content for digital campaigns in the strategic areas of communications, marketing and advocacy.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience as a Graphic or Multimedia Designer, preferably in an NGO or corporate social impact team setting.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of digital, print, branding, photography, and video editing work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Experience with photography, illustration, motion graphics, and video editing are an advantage.
- Familiarity with Canva, content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and social media design trends is beneficial.
Knowledge and Skills:

- Ability to translate complex ideas into visually compelling designs.
- Strong photography and videography skills with an eye for capturing impactful moments.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Design artwork for social media content, reports, presentations, newsletters, advocacy campaigns, and event branding in alignment with our mission.
- Develop illustrations, logos, infographics, and other creative assets using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
- Conceptualize and execute branding projects, packaging designs, and digital marketing assets.
- Manage and update the Foundation’s website, blog, and other digital/social media platforms with relevant visual content.
- Work closely with project teams to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging visual materials.
- Ensure all design work aligns with the Foundation’s communication strategy and brand identity.
- Stay up to date with design trends, digital marketing best practices, and innovative creative techniques.
- Collaborate with the Communications Coordinators and proofreaders to finalize high-quality content.
- Capture and edit high-quality photographs at Foundation events and initiatives to document impact and storytelling.
- Edit video content for social media, awareness campaigns, and event highlights using tools such as Premiere Pro or After Effects.
