Key Responsibility Areas

• Prepares for the days work
• Maintains allocated small plants and equipment in a clean, functional and safe conditions
• Maintains public land, facilities and infrastructure with natural and DM.O.S.S  areas
• Performs Arboriculture, watercourse maintenance and habitat rehabilitation specific to Natural Reserve/ Aquatic areas and D.M.O.S.S area
• Clearing of Alien invasive species and indigenous bush encroachment in terrestrial and aquatic habitats
• Handling, rescuing and relocating animals
• Performs general zoological/ enclosure maintenance functions
• Undertakes the construction and maintenance of facilities
• Assists member of the public with general queries and information
• Ensure Occupation Health and Safety regulation are complied

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to perform physical duty of the post
• This post reports to SUPERVISOR

Essential Requirements

• An appropriate level of primary education.
• Certificate of competencies in the operation of small plant and equipment or obtainable within 6 months from appointment.
• 6 Months relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements

• An appropriate level of secondary education.
• 1 Year relevant experience.
