Role purpose
- Provide overall coordination of Product Supply Systems (OnePSS) implementation and sustainability at site level, driving success through continuous improvements using lean practices as cultural change is taking place. The role will coordinate implementation and sustainability by working closely with Site Leadership Team, Implementation Task Force, Process Leads, Team Leads, Seed Techs Seasonal Temps, Regional Implementation Lead, Global Implementation Lead, Continuous Improvement networks and Change Management/HR ensuring systems are used to drive opportunities and one common standard through employee empowerment and focus on customer needs.
- Be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System in accordance with industry standards and regulations. This is crucial to ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities and tasks
- OnePSS Responsibilities
- Understanding of OnePSS implementation methodology, lean content and change management approach to successfully sustain implementation at Brits site.
- Act as a SME (Subject Matter Subject) in lean practices and facilitate the continuous improvement journey at the Brits site.
- Review continuous improvement opportunities with Implementation Task Force (ITF) and Site Steering Committee (SSC) to be implemented to focus on full benefit of employees and business.
- Lead best practices team and continuous improvements/best practices internally and externally (network).
- Ensure the change management requirements are being addressed and coordinate change efforts to implement and sustain improvement.
- Develop and review site key performance indicators that provide a clear tracking system on manufacturing performance and drive action.
- Provide oversight of processes related to product quality in cooperation with seed production management and other stakeholders including but not limited to Bayer Global Quality Compliance Assurance and Control Teams.
- Lead Quality and Safety initiatives broadly and build a culture to maintain a healthy and safety and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Develop improvement work studies and identify quality and performance opportunities, cost reduction and analyze the main variables of the process proposing actions to the production team in the case of deviation/changes that may cause problems of loss of production/quality/safety/environment.
- Promote discussion among site personnel on good practices, performance results and new technologies for the production. Promote operational training when necessary.
- Responsible to represent the Optimization team in global studies and lead projects aiming exchanging good practices between countries.
- QMS Responsibilities
- Establishment, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, and other relevant standards.
- Review, approve, manage and maintain all QMS documentation.
- Ensure that all deviations, change controls and CAPA’s are actioned, tracked and closed out as per the defined period.
- Lead the scheduling and management of the required management review meetings.
- Updating and management of controlled documentation.
- Ensure compliance to required ISO9001 Standards.
- Develop/manage and oversee administrative and operational policies, procedures, and process according to ISO Standards.
- Monthly reporting (recording, analyzing, and distributing statistical information).
- Lead internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up on audit findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring continuous improvement in processes and products.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
- Train and mentor employees on quality management principles and practices.
- Manage non-conformances, driving root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- HSE Responsibilities
- Motivate employees to wear the correct PPE.
- Follow Safety operations procedures.
- Report all accidents or incidents immediately.
- Participate in identifying hazards.
- Participate in Tier meetings and monthly Health and Safety Meetings.
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment.
- Upon request, participate in emergency response teams and any other safety or health group established by the site.
- Participate in all required HSE trainings and educations.
- Participate in all emergency drills.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing.
- ISO900:2015 qualification or related training.
- At 4 years’ experience in manufacturing or seed agricultural industry.
- Change Management related training or experience will be beneficial.
- Experience in leading and developing teams.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent Proficiency in MS Office.
- Analytical mindset with a commitment to accuracy and precision.
