Operational Data Analyst needed at Unitrans

Job Advert Summary    

• An opportunity has arisen for an Operational Data Analyst to produce logical and technical specifications from functional
• specifications and analyses data according to business needs. Responsible for identifying business needs, analysing large
• datasets, building machine learning models and creating presentable dashboards. Incumbent carries out systems analysis, design,
• system testing, performance assessments and user interfaces.

Minimum Requirements    

• 4 year Degree / NQF level 7
• Experience: Up to 3 years

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Work closely with a team of developers and designers building front-ends
• Care and fight for the end-user experience and contribute to raising the baseline of what is the UI/UX industry
• Take ownership and responsibility for what you do, the huge creative freedom and ability to influence the project allows for this
• Build relationships with developers
• Design and develop new back-end services
• Research new tech that will benefit the team, project or client
• Integrate user facing elements developed
• Communicate effectively with the team locally and internationally
• Provide insight and contribute to software design and architecture
• Build Dashboards using Qliksense/QlikView/Power BI
• Nprinting automated dashboards and reports
• Data queries using SQL
