Role Overview:

  • The Operations Coordinator/Planner will be responsible for ensuring smooth coordination between sales, operations, and logistics departments through the development and execution of effective planning schedules. This role plays a critical part in managing stock levels, improving customer satisfaction, and driving operational efficiency across the company. 

Requirements:

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in operations, logistics, or a related field (or currently working towards one).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex data and schedules.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across teams and departments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other data management tools.
  • Proven ability to assert yourself and influence within a dynamic management team.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in operations, manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics is essential.
  • Experience with quality management systems like ISO or FSC is highly desirable.
  • Experience in customer service and the development of customer satisfaction strategies is an advantage.

Additional Requirements:

  • Management experience or leadership skills will be advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collection and processing of information from the sales and operations departments into a planning schedule that will enable all departments to coordinate efficiently.
  • Developing and driving a customer satisfaction strategy and procedures, that addresses service and quality.  Also manage and drive any related programs such as ISO, FSC, Food  safety etc.
  • Monitoring and analysing stock levels and customer trends/orders and placing production orders to receive finished goods into the warehouse(s) on a just-in-time basis.
  • Manage customer and sales representative expectations and delivery schedules.
  • Prevention of slow moving and/obsolete stock.
