- We are seeking an experienced Oracle Forms developer to join our Finance Systems team in the Digital Technology Group. You will be responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of our Finance reporting application and interfaces including integrations with other systems and calculations for consolidation, overheads and cross charging. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle Forms, Reports and PL/SQL along with the ability to analyse and understand complex processes and dataflows.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports.
- Write complex PL/SQL queries, procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Integrating solutions with other applications and technology platforms
- Collaborate with business analysts and users to gather and understand requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and data issues.
- Optimise and troubleshoot existing reports, computations and integrations to improve performance and reliability.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of our bespoke Oracle application, including its data flows, and integration with other systems.
- Collaborate with the finance team to provide technical support and insights for the ongoing finance strategy project.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of applications and processes.
- Participate in the migration of legacy Oracle Forms applications to modern platforms if required.
Daily Tasks Include:
- Enhance Oracle Forms and Reports, Interfaces and background processes
- Design, develop, test high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to business analysts and stakeholders, ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into technical solution
- Respond to and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and providing timely updates and support to stakeholders.
We’d like to hear from candidates who:
- Have a strong knowledge and recent hands-on experience of Oracle Forms & Reports
- Have solid PL/SQL and SQL skills
- Have excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
- Can analyse and interpret intricate dataflows
- Have experience working in a finance systems environment delivering complex system solutions
- Experience in version control systems (e.g. Git)
