Packaging Technologist – Tokai needed at Cape Herb & Spice

Purpose: Cape Herb & Spice is looking for a dynamic & innovative Packaging Technologist to lead projects & develop solutions for key customers across the globe. Role Objectives:

• Packaging Development & Innovation
• Project Management

Key Functional Duties:

• Identify sustainable and cost-saving packaging opportunities
• Lead sourcing & development including driving deadlines, trialing process & problem solving
• Manage full technical compliance to required standards
• Provide Technical support

Education & Required Knowledge:

• Either an equivalent of the below degree and 2 – 4 years’ experience or no formal qualification with 5-10 years’ experience will be recognized:
  • Packaging Technology
  • Food Science or Technology
  • Project Management
• Advantageous experience in:
  • Graphic Design (including packaging design)
  • Product Development
  • Commercial
• Computer Literacy (Microsoft office)
• Excel Fluency – Intermediate level
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English
• Technical knowledge and understanding of printing process and specs.
