Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• A relevant Master’s or Honours degree in Computer Applications Technology (CAT) (Please note that preference will be given to candidates with a relevant Masters degree).
• Computer Applications Technology (CAT) as a major at Bachelor’s level
• A relevant teaching qualification
• At least five (5) years’ experience in teaching CAT at school level or two (2) years teaching the subject at tertiary level
• Knowledge, understanding and experience in the preparation and evaluation of meaningful teaching experiences for Senior and FET Phase students.
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans – B.Ed tuition on the Wellington campus is in Afrikaans

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

• Teaching Computer Literacy in Education in the Senior and FET Phase from first to fourth year level
• Learning materials design and preparation
• Assessment, marking and uploading of student marks
• Coaching and mentoring students
• Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department
