- As a Payroll Administrator you’ll be supporting the delivery of the payroll, and reconciling all payroll related payments, as well as providing support to HR on all payroll related queries. This will help us excel in delivering timeously to the senior management and shareholders of the organisation, to assist with their decision-making processes in driving the business enabling us to stay ahead of the game.
What you’ll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:
- Payroll Administration (multiple companies): Local and International
- Ensure all Employee Payroll changes are captured on Payroll Systems (via Integration or manually updated)
- Ensure Employee master data changes are accurately captured/integrated on Payroll Systems i.e. New Employees, Merit Increases, Bonuses,Transfers, Terminations, Cost Centre Changes, Orginizational Structure changes
- Capture all Earnings,Deductions,Loans,Expense Claims, Overtime, Fringe benefits, Vested Shares etc
- Apply for SARS Tax Directives on efiling when applicable
- Perform Sox Compliance Risk Controls as part of monthly payroll process
- Prepare Payroll Review file for final sign off
- Prepare and upload bank files for salary payments
- Prepare payslips for upload to Workday
- Prepare Mock payslips
- Reconcile Billings for Medical Aids, Retirement Annuities, Group Life,Pensions,Gap Cover-online updates and submissions
- Ensure monthly UIF declarations are successfully submitted to Dept of Labour
- Prepare SARS EMP201 for submission and payment on efiling
- Prepare annual and bi-annual EMP501 Reconcilliations on SARS e@syfile
- Complete Tax Year End process -distribution of IRP5 certificates
Payroll accounting and reconciliations:
- Prepare and post salary journals on Accounting System
- Prepare and post Leave Provisions
- Perform monthly General Ledger reconciliations in preperation for Year End audits
- Reconcile Salary Control Accounts for Year End audits
- Complete Month-end Check List on Floqast
Administration of Payments:
- Process HR related Creditors payments on ERP system and bank
- Process all regulatory payments e.g. SARS, UIF, SDL,COIDA (South Africa)
- Process all regulatory payments (Foreign payrolls)
- Process month-end payments to Medical Aid,Retirement Annuities,Funeral Cover,Group Life,Gap Cover
- Process Off Cycle emergency payments to employees
Payroll Reporting
- Payroll Register,Company Variance Report,Net Pay Listing, Payroll Reconicilliation, Headcount Report, SARS EMP201
- Employee Lists
- Month-end Costing Reports
- Overtime reports
- Employee Benefits Reports
- Ad hoc reporting as requested for Finance and HR Reviews
- Other ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time.

- Fully functional knowledge and experience on PaySpace
- Knowledge of relevant labour legislation affecting HR administration (Taxation, BCEA, LRA & SDA)
- Knowledge of remuneration practices, compliance, and optimal salary structuring
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Minimum 2 years’ Accounting experience
- Proficient in Advanced Microsoft Excel
Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve
- It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:
- In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
- Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
- Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
- Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
- Experience with Navision/Business Central
- Experience in processing Payroll in foreign currencies
