QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
- Bachelors degree in data Analytics, HR, Industrial Psychology, Business Intelligence, or related field
Experience needed to deliver the role seamlessly:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR analytics, business intelligence, or a related data-driven role.
- Proven experience operating at a strategic level within a complex organisational environment.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, macros/VBA).
- Strong understanding of HR processes, metrics, and systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors).
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Core Technical Delivery:
- Design, build, and maintain advanced Excel-based dashboards and models using pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas, and VBA/macros.
- Development & Completion of all Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Reporting and data tracking
- Monthly payroll BVAs
- Automate and optimise recurring reports to ensure accuracy, scalability, and timely delivery of key HR metrics.
- Analyse workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the employee lifecycle.
- Integrate Excel-based analytics with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and HRIS platforms.
- Lead the development of predictive and diagnostic analytics to support strategic HR initiatives.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and usability across all analytics outputs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve data architecture and reporting capabilities.
Business Management
- Own the people analytics strategy and ensure alignment with organisational and HR priorities.
- Act as a strategic advisor to HR and business leaders, translating workforce data into actionable insights.
- Lead the delivery of analytics projects that support workforce planning, talent optimisation, and organisational design.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., POPIA, GDPR).
- Influence cross-functional teams to embed analytics into core HR and business processes.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of analytics interventions and recommend improvements.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of learning programmes, using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements related to training and development.
- Influence organisational culture by embedding learning into performance, leadership, and career development processes.
