Picture Researcher needed at Media24 Ltd

Duties and responsibilities

• Sourcing appropriate, striking visuals for the brands’ various products
• Ensuring visual consistency in conjunction with the art director
• Assisting with administrative duties related to syndication & archiving
• Engaging with content partners in various divisions and ensuring editors across platforms have visual support
• Building and maintaining strong relations with suppliers and contributors
• Creating a system for ensuring accuracy of images passing through the system
• Archiving used images and managing this archive
• Effective management of incoming images
• Meeting all editorial deadlines
• Quickly and effectively communicating with others when problems arise.

 Skills & competencies

• At least two years’ working in a picture research environment or a proven track record in picture research environment, showcasing a talent for visual storytelling
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent grasp of current affairs, in particular local news and international celebrity news
• A desire to constantly improve the picture research contribution on a creative and system level
• Excellent time-management skills
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks with high effectiveness and efficiency
• Have a creative and curious mind and be interested in what’s happening in the world
• Have the ability to work under pressure
• Have excellent filing, administration and organisational skills
• The ability to be flexible and adaptable and be sable to problem-solve under immense pressure.
