Piling Operator needed at Saint-Gobain Africa

Why do we need you ?

• Ensure that production is done according to the Production Plan
• Process, HMI and Equipment understanding of Piling Step
• Automatic and Manual operation of piler
• Monitoring infeed of metal templates
• Rejection of poor-quality material
• Inter-lever and bases quality inspections
• Understanding of conveyor sequencing
• Start-up, continuous and shut-down activities of green sheet piling
• Adjust line settings to accommodate product changes
• Conduct in-line quality tests and operational inspections as required
• Continuous visual inspections of product
• Ensure that products produced are to an acceptable standard and free from defects
• Ensure wet scrap is recycles into the process
• Unblocking of piping and equipment when required. This may require use of small hand tools.
• Troubleshooting operation issues and quality defects
• Changing of water jet nozzles

Is this job for you ?

• The ideal candidate must have a completed Matric. It would be advantageous should the candidate have a certificate for Overhead Crane Operation or have completed a work at heights training.
• The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces. The ideal candidate should have at least two to three years’ experience in production and have some knowledge on maintenance.
