Portfolio and Service Delivery Manager needed at Lactalis South Africa

Job Description

• Lactalis is part of the French international dairy company Lactalis and is one of the major players in the southern African dairy industry. It has operations in South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Swaziland and Mozambique.
• The IT Portfolio & Vendor Manager is responsible for managing the organization’s IT project portfolio and vendor ecosystem to ensure strategic alignment, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
• This role combines portfolio governance with vendor relationship management to deliver maximum value and mitigate risks

Required Skills

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or related field and advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT portfolio and vendor management.
• Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks and procurement best practices.
• Proven negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinking and decision-making.
• Programme and Project Management ability and skills
• Financial acumen and budgeting expertise.
• Ability to manage complex projects and vendor ecosystems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Duties & Responsibilities

Portfolio Management

• Develop and maintain the IT portfolio roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor portfolio performance, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance frameworks and standards.
• Drive prioritization and decision-making for IT investments.
• Ensure delivery methodology is adhered to and appropriate plans created and validated for IT Scope of work

Vendor Management

• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with IT vendors and partners.
• Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and pricing to optimize cost and service delivery with Procurement Team.
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Implement vendor evaluation frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives

Collaboration and Communication

• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to align objectives.
• Facilitate communication between internal teams and external vendors.
• Support procurement processes including RFP, RFQ, and vendor onboarding
