Requirements

Minimum Bursary Requirements

  • A Ph.D. degree (obtained within the last 5 years) in Agricultural Sciences or a closely related field.
  • Authored or co-authored a minimum of two peer-review scientific publications in a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a research team.

Terms

  • Value: R350,000 per annum (taxable stipend).
  • Conduct research projects under the supervision of ARC scientists.
  • Contribute to scientific publications, presentations, and technology transfer activities.
  • Participate in capacity development initiatives, including mentoring postgraduate students.
  • Engage in collaborative projects aligned with ARC-VIMP research priorities.
