Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
- To be the continuous improvement driver of the Metallurgical process through reporting on and analysing production performance, making recommendations and implementing projects in a safe manner.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety, Health, Environment and Quality:
- Manage SHEQ compliance within the Process through effective use of the Toolbox
- Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status
Customers:
- Achieve process quality
- Achieve total water treatment process quality
- Ensure Customer Satisfaction
Business Processes:
Process Reliability:
- Update Process Strategy
- Implement Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) findings
- Manage day to day water treatment management
Process Management:
- Achieve process budget
- Achieve water treatment budget
- Optimise water treatment process for the site
CMMS:
- Update GSAP Master Data
- Report process measures
Project Management:
- Implement improvement projects
- Implement water treatment improvement project for the site
Growth:
- Manage Continuous Improvement through Operational Excellence
- Identify and implement continuous improvement and cost saving projects
- Take the lead on specific improvement initiatives as required. This may include project management, report writing and effective stakeholder communication

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- B.Eng./BSc. Eng. Degree or N Diploma
- 4 years’ relevant experience in the heavy industry, preferably 2 years’ managerial experience
