Process Support Engineer needed at Pollock & Associates

• We are seeking a technically strong and solutions-driven Process Support Engineer to join the Production team at the Durban facility. This role is responsible for improving plant performance by identifying process inefficiencies, supporting technical projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement robust, data-driven improvements.
• You will bring sound knowledge of chemical engineering, practical manufacturing experience, and the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels. A fantastic opportunity for a process-oriented engineer ready to make a measurable impact.

Minimum Requirements:

• BSc in Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualification
• 2–8 years’ experience in process engineering within chemical or manufacturing industries
• Familiarity with fermentation, distilling, baking, or similar industries
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, TPM or Six Sigma environments

Technical Competencies:

• Process design, optimisation, and improvement methodology
• Strong analytical skills; ability to perform mass and energy balances
• Exposure to SCADA/DCS and plant utility systems (e.g., steam, water, biogas)
• Proficient in HAZOP, HACCP, and ModProp documentation
